The Level III Trauma Center at Taylor Regional Hospital is the only Level III Trauma Center in the state of Kentucky. A Level III Trauma Center provides prompt assessment, resuscitation, emergency operations, and stabilization through the prompt availability of a surgeon. For critically injured patients requiring treatment notavailable at a Level III Trauma Center, transfer agreements with Level I Trauma Centers are maintained. In addition to the Trauma Center, the emergency department at Taylor Regional Hospital is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with a physician on staff at all times.
