Cardiopulmonary Rehab Cardiopulmonary Rehab provides exercise, monitoring and education to help make your heart and lungs stronger. Taylor Regional Hospital offers two phases of cardiopulmonary rehab. Phase I begins in the hospital and lays the ground work for the lifestyle and behavior changes needed for you to recuperate. Phase II consists of 10-12 weeks of outpatient telemetry monitored exercise at TRH Rehab Clinic. Your program is designed for you based on your doctor’s recommendations and/or the results of your tests which include a pulmonary function test or stress test. Anyone who has cardiopulmonary disease may benefit from this program. Patients who have had a “cardiac event” or who have chronic breathing problems are often referred to cardiopulmonary rehab.
