TAYLOR REGIONAL HOSPITAL
URGENT CARE CENTER NOW OPEN
Taylor Regional Hospital opened the Taylor Regional Urgent Care Center on Wednesday, June 20th.
Taylor Regional Urgent Care Center has opened on a limited basis at the current time in order to best serve the needs of our community. “With everyone traveling and making vacation plans for the summer, we feel that this is a perfect time to open our Urgent Care Center,” says Jane Wheatley, CEO of Taylor Regional Hospital. “We will open the Center on a limited basis now, but we project that we will be able to open it up 7 days per week very soon.” The limited hours and days are Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 12 Noon until 8:00 pm.
The Taylor Regional Urgent Care Center is located just across the Green County line at 1911 Campbellsville Road. The facility includes a comfortable waiting room, numerous patient rooms, a lab area, pharmacy, and physician office space. Cassandra Stephens, MD will be the facility Medical Director with Heidi Lee, Nurse Practitioner, being one of the care providers at the site. Carol Wright, RN is the Urgent Care Center Director. Future plans include the addition of another care provider and radiology staff to perform the diagnostic imaging.
Taylor Regional Hospital Urgent Care Center will treat a variety of conditions including: sprains, sore throats and colds, cuts, scrapes and minor wounds and burns, minor eye injuries and infections.
Continuity of care is very important at Taylor Regional Urgent Care Center. A major benefit for patients is that they have their medical treatment information forwarded to their primary care physicians.
“We realize that the best patient care is that in which the patient has an ongoing relationship with a primary care physician,” said Jay Eastridge, Clinical Services Administrator. “However, there are times when a patient does not have that relationship established with a primary care physician and needs care. We also realize that sometimes it is difficult for the physician’s office to work same day appointments into a busy office schedule. Taylor Regional Urgent Care Center will meet both of these needs.”
If you have questions regarding the Urgent Care Center’s hours or services, you may call (270) 849-2379 or (270) 932-2221.
